Susan began to study yoga back in 1992 at a small community class on the Upper East Side of New York City. After her move to “downtown” NYC she spent lots of time at the beloved Integral Yoga Center until one day in 2000 she stumbled upon the Jivamukti Yoga Center and was captured for life. She was certified as a Jivamukti Yoga Instructor in May of 2005 and went on to complete the 800 hour advance apprentice program with her dear friend and holy teacher Rima Rabbath. Through the asana practice she has been able to make room in her body, her heart, and her mind to contemplate the teachings and seek the grace to apply them. Susan always hopes to go beyond just teaching a good physically challenging class and instead strives to create an uplifting and inspiring experience for as many people as possible. With her background in the music industry, her love of music overflows into her classes with mixes she carefully plans out before each class. She would like to thank all of her teachers of past and present, specifically Sharon-ji and David-ji for without them there would be no Jivamukti method.
