Diane began practicing yoga in 2005. Her practice quickly turned into a passion. She was encouraged by her first mentor, Joyti Crystal, to take teacher training at Starseed Yoga and went on to receive a 200 hour certification in Hatha Yoga in 2008. In 2009, she completed a 30 hour Gentle & Restorative teacher certification from Masala Yoga under the study of Ellen Pfeffer. Diane discovered Iyengar yoga from her teacher of 13 years, Lisa Rotell, who has been an inspiration to her on and off the mat. She is currently enrolled in teacher training at the Iyengar Institute of New York and looks forward to traveling to India in the future to study with the Iyengar family.
Several years ago Diane reached a level in her practice where she felt a calling to share these teachings. She established a yoga class in her workplace of 33 years and has developed a consistent following of dedicated practitioners. Diane’s classes focus on alignment and lengthening the body. Her goals are to help you stay longer in a pose while bringing space for the breath and mind, so that you come to a quiet place within the pose. She wants others to feel the expansive space that invigorates the body as well as the grounding that she feels when she practices the Iyengar method.
Diane’s passion also extends to traveling with her husband, her love of animals, and spending time with her friends.
