ANDREA EVANS
Yoga Instructor

Andrea has been teaching yoga since 2002 with primary influences from Jivamukti Yoga, Integral Yoga, and Dharma Mittra Yoga. She has completed more than 600 hours of study in teacher training programs: Hatha Level I at the Integral Yoga Institute in New York (250 hours) in 2002; Hatha Level II at the Integral Yoga Institute in New York (160 hours)in 2004; and the Advanced Teacher Training program at Lotus Yoga in Montclair (200 hours) in 2009. Her classes include flowing sequences, balance poses, inversions, pranayama and meditation techniques. Each class is unique, but aims to create a balanced experience for the body and the mind.

Andrea teaches from the perspective that each practice should make us feel good, and also inspire us to be our best selves. Her own experience is that the combination of regular, long-term practice with study of the teachings, and attending classes and events with fellow yogis, has changed her entire experience of life for the better. She believes in yoga as a clear, practical and uplifting system of self-care, self-healing, self-control and transformation. Her classes are dynamic and challenging, but open to mixed levels.
