Alina has been a student of yoga for over 10 years. She has been drawn to yoga after the birth of her youngest child, discovering with surprise that not only did it provide her with a rigorous physical practice, but it also brought more peace and balance into her life as she tried to juggle being a mom and working as a pediatrician. As the years went by, yoga helped to propel her on the path of adventure, exploration and self-discovery.
After moving to Montclair in 2021, Alina discovered Jaipure Yoga. She fell in love with the studio and the community of yogis that taught and practiced there. Becoming a Karma Yogi, completing Teacher Training course (RYT-200), and beginning to teach at Jaipure has been an exciting, meaningful and incredibly fulfilling journey. At Jaipure, Alina found a supportive, tolerant and inclusive community that welcomed her and encouraged her growth.
Teaching for Alina is a way to give back what she received - love, support and gentle guidance. It is a way to share her deep love of and joy in practicing yoga. Alina strives to bring lightness to her classes, while still being grounded in a strong physical practice. Whether the class calls for a quiet voice-guided asana practice or a blend of asana, dance and music, be prepared to explore in a safe, fun, and supportive environment. It is Alina’s hope that her students will leave her classes energized, yet calm and peaceful, ready to take on the challenges of the day.
